Who we are

FRAE Inc. is a second-generation family-owned company providing electrical, HVAC and refrigeration services to Central Nebraska since 1978. Our projects range from agricultural to commercial and industrial, and there is no challenge we back away from. The original founding tenets still guide us today. We keep the small town store experience alive while bringing the up-to-date techniques, technology, education and know how that keep us moving into the future.

  • Serving Central Nebraska since 1978
  • Second generation, family owned
  • Committed to continuous improvement, standardized processes and developing our team members every day

Who we are looking for.

Are you adaptable to the ever-changing atmosphere that is HVAC? Do you want to be impactful in every sense? Is customer service and experience your top priority? Do you want to work with a business that invests in your success while expecting accountability, professionalism and commitment to our clients?

If you answered yes to all of those, send us your resume.

The Role

What we require.

  • Minimum of 3 years of service experience, with the ability to diagnose basic issues
  • The ability to climb 10 to 25 foot ladders without reservation, using company-supplied safety equipment
  • Safety mindedness. This is non-negotiable, because safety is one of our core values. As a teammate you are expected to stop unsafe work practices, your own and your crew's, to protect yourself, our team and our clients.
  • A 40 hour plus work week, with plenty of overtime opportunities
  • Some weekend availability (rotating on-call shifts)
  • Refrigeration experience is required
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting. You are expected to identify the root cause of an issue, communicate clearly, and ask for help early rather than letting a problem grow on the client.
  • Openness to other methods of solving a problem
  • A willingness to think outside the box is a plus
  • Commercial and residential maintenance knowledge is a plus, but we will train the right individual
  • The ability to adapt to ever-changing circumstances with ease and patience
  • Attendance at all ongoing training. Education, certifications and skill development are expected responsibilities here, not just benefits.
  • Following our company processes, documenting your work accurately, and using our company software correctly. Technical ability on its own is not enough.
What You Get

Company benefits.

$30 to $38 per hour, based on experience. A 90 day probationary period applies.

  • Paid time off (accumulative)
  • Bonuses and incentive structures, for uncapped earning potential
  • Company health insurance
  • Company dental and vision
  • Company gas card
  • Company vehicle, stocked with company-supplied tools. You get a basic hand tool list at the time of interview so we can assess what tools are needed.
  • Company 3% matched retirement after your first year
  • AFLAC supplemental insurance available
  • Company life insurance
  • A clear path for career advancement based on performance, accountability and leadership, not just tenure
